After the ASTD conference in Chicago, I am taking a second look at second life (ha ha). I went to training on it before but didn't get into it. So now I went to a session in Second Life. I am CyberCat Galaxy and was invited to the "Train for Success" weekly info sharing sessions. They meet every Thursday at 12 CST. See you there!

Research Questions

As I prepare for graduate school, (where is that acceptance letter??!!) I ponder my research ideas that I would like to start ASAP but am still waiting to see if I actually get in.

If iPad revolutionizes how we interact with data (eLearning) how will I design and develop education for other cultures that may not have computers or access to the Internet? As I consider the OpenMindsProject or other projects for NGOs and eLearning, the wheels are turning.

How to create the next generation of eLearning for underserved populations? How to apply "cutting edge" eLearning design into a developing country education model? How do you make it accessible to these populations? How does culture impact the iPad prototype of design and learning?

Just some thoughts...

iPad My Ideas

I am really excited about the new iPad. I am already re-organizing my thoughts on eLearning. One idea I stole from www.ipadlearninglab.com was a subscription idea.

Members can subscribe to CRS YOUniversity on a specific subject and whenever we publish new content on "business planning" they get that content. New webinars, apps, videos, modules, etc., Or maybe they just subscribe to "CRS YOUniversity" and get everything we publish. :) Just some thoughts...

iGoogle

I set up my iGoogle page today. Doesn't this say volumes about how you see the world? This is the content of my page:

  • Chicago/ Local News
  • Thailand Travel and News
  • eLearning
  • Technology News
  • J Crew
  • Yahoo Mail
  • The Coolest World Photos

I am sure I'll keep adding to this, but I think this speaks volumes about me as a person.
